A335 Pipe is a seamless ferritic alloy steel pipe designed for high temperature service (ASME S/A335, Chorme-Moly). Pipe ordered in accordance with this standard must be capable of fusion welding as well as bending, flanging (vanstoning), and other equivalent forming operations. Chome moly pipe is common in P-Grades P5, P9, P11, P12, P22, and P91, which are also referred to as "P Grade" on occasion. Grades P11, P22, and P91 are most frequently used in the petrochemical industry and power generation, whereas Grades P5 and P9 are frequently utilized in refineries. Due to the chemical composition of molybdenum (Mo) and chromium (Cr), A335 is frequently referred to as chrome moly pipe.
