Metal Tubular ProductsA335 P22 Pipe is a component of ASTM A335; it must be appropriate for fusion welding as well as bending, flanging, and other similar forming operations. The chemical composition, tensile properties, and hardness standards for the steel material must be met.
Ferritic alloy steel pipe designated as A335 P22 is seamless and intended for high temperature service. Pipe ordered in accordance with this standard must be capable of fusion welding as well as bending, flanging (vanstoning), and other equivalent forming operations. Chome moly pipe is prevalent in P-Grades P5, P9, P11, P22, and P91, which are also known to as "P Grade" at times. Grades P11, P22, and P91 are most frequently used in the petrochemical industry and power generation, whereas Grades P5 and P9 are frequently utilized in refineries. Due to the chemical composition of molybdenum (Mo) and chromium (Cr), A335 is frequently referred to as chrome moly pipe. Steel's strength, elastic limit, resistance to wear, impact properties, and hardenability are all increased by molybdenum.
Moly makes chromium steel less prone to embrittlement, slows down grain growth, and increases resistance to softening. The best addition for boosting high temperature creep strength is molybdenum. Additionally, it prevents pitting and strengthens the steel's resistance to corrosion. The primary component of stainless steel is chromium, sometimes known as chrome. Stainless steel is any steel that contains at least 12% chrome. Chrome is essentially unique in its ability to withstand oxidation at high temperatures. At room temperature, chrome increases tensile, yield, and hardness. For usage in power plants, refineries, petrochemical facilities, and oil field services where fluids and gases are delivered at extremely high temperatures and pressures, chrome moly alloy steel pipe is the perfect choice.
